The Friday Throat Chakra Boost

Start your 2020 New Year off right with a Chakra a Day Healing Regimen. As you may already know the seven major chakras are vital to our energetic system. The corresponding seven days of the week, schedule for enhancing your seven Chakras can be a game-changer for your well - being. Why not dedicate a whole day of the week for at least one week a month to a single Chakra? This allows you to focus and nourish a chakra for a whole day really getting the feel of your energetic system and its function along with giving it a supercharge! Here are the corresponding days and their Chakras.

• Monday - Root Chakra
• Tuesday - Sacral Chakra
• Wednesday - Solar Plexus
• Thursday - Heart
• Friday - Throat
• Saturday - Third Eye
• Sunday - Crown

Start each day going through the following mediation and then plug in the details for each chakra. 

Meditation:

Sit in a comfortable position taking 3 deep breaths. If you need to use a bolster or cushion to get comfortable. Take notice of the Chakra we are focusing on for that day. How does it feel? Take note of the sensations. Is it moving in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction? Imagine the corresponding color filling that area of the body and focus your intention chanting, "I heal and balance my (___Chakra)". It is a good idea, especially if you like to journal to keep a good diary of these 7 days. Take note of how you feel and any changes that may arise. Look at situations in your life and be open to checking in to these feelings throughout your day. The next time you do this seven-day routine check-in with your previous notes to see if there were any changes.

Throat Chakra: Fifth Chakra - Vishuddha
What: Center for Communication / Purification
Color: Blue | Light
Where: Found at the base of the Neck
Crystal Companions: Aquamarine, Lapis Lazuli, Blue Agate, Turquoise
Associated Foods and Tea: Blueberries, Blackberries, Coconut Water, Eggplant, Chakra Herbal Tea and Lemon.

    The Throat Chakra is our center for communication and self-expression. It is associated with our integrity and openness. Found at the base of the neck, a light blue color this Chakra helps all other Chakras to be expressed. If you lack good communication skills, cannot be yourself in speech, or perhaps are even a poor listener your Throat Chakra may need some nurturing. This Chakra is known as the “souls gate” or link between your Heart and your Head. There are some physical signs that this Chakra could use a tuning. It may express itself as swollen glands, neck and shoulder pain or even sinusitis. To give this Chakra a good tuning go into the mediation described and afterward do some journaling about how this Chakra felt, what color it appeared to be (was it dull, bright, dark?) Consider what direction the Chakra was flowing. Reflect on your listening and communication skills today and describe any of the physical symptoms that may have changed during the meditation. Spend the day working on being truly present by both listening and engaging in dialogue. Think about how you can surprise someone with a conversation that is unrehearsed and perhaps show flexibility in what you hear. Foster healthy dialogue over fear-based monologue. Go out into the world sporting some blue clothing or a scarf with a pair of Lapis Lazuli Earrings. Carry Turquoise in your purse or pocket.     Smoothie 

    • 1/2 Cup Blueberries
    • 1/2 Cup Frozen Blackberries
    • 1 1/2 Tsp Spirulina
    • 2 Cups Plant Milk
    • Chia Seeds (optional) 
    Instructions
    1. Add all ingredients into the blender and blend on high until smooth.
