Thursday is for the Heart Chakra

As you may already know the seven major chakras are vital to our energetic body system. The seven days of the week schedule for enhancing your Seven Chakras can be a game-changer for your well-being. Why not dedicate a whole day of the week for at least one week a month to a single Chakra? This allows you to focus and nourish a chakra for a whole day really getting the feel of your energetic system and its function along with giving it a supercharge! Here are the corresponding days and their Chakras.

  • Monday - Root Chakra
  • Tuesday - Sacral Chakra
  • Wednesday - Solar Plexus
  • Thursday - Heart
  • Friday - Throat
  • Saturday - Third Eye
  • Sunday - Crown

Start each day going through the following mediation and then plug in the details.

Meditation:

Sit in a comfortable position taking 3 deep belly breaths. Inhaling to extend the belly out and exhaling bringing the belly in. Take notice of the Chakra we are focusing on for that day (Heart). Focus on your chest take note of the sensations. Is it moving in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction? Imagine the corresponding color filling that area of the body and focus your intention chanting, I focus on, heal, and balance my Heart Chakra. It is a good idea, especially if you like to journal to keep a good diary of the seven days you are partaking in this. For the Heart Chakra you may write down the hue of the color if it is bright or dull and also journal how you feel in that area. Are you tight - is breathing easy etc...? and certainly journal it out if any changes arise like a change in color or direction. Look at situations in your life that correspond to your heart center and be open to checking in to these feelings throughout your day. The heart center can be about compassion, a family member, tolerance, or even the planet.

Heart Chakra Thursday!

  • Heart Chakra: Fourth Primary Chakra- Anahata
  • Feelings: Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Compassion, Joy
  • Color: Green or Rose Pink
  • Where: In the center of the chest
  • Crystal Companions: rose quartz, malachite, aventurine, rhodonite
  • Associated Foods and Tea: Leafy Greens, Avocados, Green Apple Slices, Jasmine Tea, Strawberries, Matcha Tea, and Limes.

The heart is our midpoint of the seven energetic centers of the body. When all other Chakras are healthy the heart is supported by the lower and upper Chakras allowing for the heart to be open and receptive. Take time to do the meditation and journal as much as you can. Wear a pendant or carry a stone with you that reminds you throughout your day of this Chakra. Take the time throughout the day to break for a cup of Jasmine or Oolong Tea and end the day with a nice warm bath. Drain the tub and allow the cares and worries of the day drain with the water. In bed and before sleep, breathe deeply and focus on the Heart Chakra. Has it been nourished? Is it functioning better with a brighter color?
