Wear Your Intention!

Wear Your Intentions

Jewelry can act on a healer’s behalf or be the dynamic healing tool and or significant symbol of intent. In some modern traditions and ancient cultures, the ritual act spiritual leaders were about to perform or knowledge they were about to invoke first came from what they wore. Take note that not every healer's jewelry is the same and this is because the meaning behind each piece is chosen according to their intentions. When I first started the practice of Yoga with more serious intent, my clothing and jewelry started to have a profound effect on me...It had to feel good and feel right in order for me to wear it. I love to wear my Padme Hum Wrist Mala Bracelet! It is fair-trade from artisans in Thailand and Nepal and the 7-inch comfortable elastic bracelet features inlaid Bodhi seeds for awakening, for abundance and truth. The Rudraksha seed is known as the fruit born of the tears of Lord Shiva. I also have Mala Beads that I wouldn’t leave home without!

While people hold their Mala Beads and use them in their practice others wear them. By wearing your Mala Beads as necklaces or bracelets the spiritual meaning of the beads and the ability to practice with them stays close to you at all times. I practice on the train. If you have Mala Beads or are interested in their spiritual meanings, Mala Beads help with breathing and meditation. If you focus on each individual bead with every inhale and exhale and or mantra, you can develop a stronger focus and therefore enhance your practice. Focus is essential for meditation and the Mala acts as an object that aids in achieving this.

Many people ask if the string on the Mala Beads is intentional. Yep, the string on Yogi Bracelets, Necklaces, and Mala Beads has significance. The string represents an individual’s ‘Universal Self’. The string holds the beads in place and in that important metaphorical role keeps the bracelet as one.
