The corresponding seven days of the week, schedule for enhancing your seven Chakras can be a game-changer for your well - being. Why not dedicate a whole day of the week for at least one week a month to a single Chakra? This allows you to focus and nourish a chakra for a whole day really getting the feel of your energetic system and its function along with giving it a supercharge! Here are the corresponding days and their Chakras.
• Monday - Root Chakra
• Tuesday - Sacral Chakra
• Wednesday - Solar Plexus
• Thursday - Heart
• Friday - Throat
• Saturday - Third Eye
• Sunday - Crown
Start each day going through the following mediation and then plug in the details for each chakra.
Meditation:Sit in a comfortable position taking 3 deep breaths. If need be, use a bolster or meditation cushion to get maximum comfort. Take notice of the Chakra we are focusing on for that day. How does it feel? Take note of the sensations. Is it moving in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction? Imagine the corresponding color filling that area of the body and focus your intention chanting, "I heal and balance (___Chakra)". It is a good idea, especially if you like to journal to keep a good diary of these 7 days. Take note of how you feel and any changes that may arise. Look at situations in your life and be open to checking in to these feelings throughout your day. As with all meditation, it may take some practice.
Today is Sunday so we can focus now on the Crown Chakra
Crown Chakra: Sahasrara - Higher States of Consciousness - We are One
Crystal Companions: Violet Crystal Pouch, Quartz Crystals, Amethyst, Moonstone, Selenite, Diamond
Location: Top of the Head
Symbol: Thousand Petal Lotus
Yoga Pose: Vriksasana | Tree Pose
Color: Violet or White
Food for the Crown: Fasting, Low Acid. Fasting and detoxifying are said to be beneficial for the development of the chakra as it awakens to the highest form of spiritual communication. The Yama Yoga Store has an excellent Tea formulated just for the Crown. (Crown Chakra Tea Blend)
The Crown Chakra is located on the topmost portion of the head. The color used to identify it is either white or violet purple. It is the highest Chakra in the seven Chakra system as it opens up the spiritual communication with the universe. It’s often drawn as a thousand-petaled lotus blooming open, a symbol of awakening. The Crown chakra is also associated with the pineal and pituitary glands as well as the hypothalamus.
The Crown Chakra in optimum health presents itself as consciousness, awareness, wisdom, connection to all beings, liberation from limiting beliefs, and presence. Most of us have energetic blocks and imbalances as well as energy-sabotaging habits that prevent us from accessing our full vitality, which leads us to feel exhausted, scattered, dull and eventually sick. If the Crown Chakra is out of balance you may experience a disconnection to spirit and body, close-mindedness, and rigidity. An underactive Crown may present itself as greed, obsessiveness, mental fog or materialism. An overactive Crown tends to be expressed as a superiority complex, arrogance, and apathy. Getting this Chakra in tune is essential to being flexible in body, mind, and spirit. As the Sundays move on and you revisit this Chakra it will be important to review previous notes to see if you are making progress in giving this energy center what it needs to thrive.
On Sundays when focusing on the Crown Chakra wear something purple or violet in color. Take the time to get outside to feel the connection with the world around you. Take time to do Yoga focusing on both Lotus and Tree Poses. Hold or wear a Quartz Crystal or perhaps if you love Mala Beads try 100% Moonstone Mala beads. At home, consider burning a candle that is dedicated to the Crown Chakra or use Frankincense and Myrrh in an oil burner or a few drops in your bath. To nurture the Crown nutritionally your best bet is to fast. There are many many books out there on fasting with short fasts seemingly to give the best benefits. (Always consult your Dr. before fasting) For a cup of excellent tea try the Yama Yoga Store’s Crown Chakra Tea that is calming and helps to soothe a restless mind bringing higher awareness. The truth in nurturing this Chakra personally is touching the earth, getting out in nature, journaling each time I do this and Yoga. I love this routine because it gives me a positive and uplifting focus on my daily hustle. It also allows me to notice small details and shifts in my intuition that would otherwise go unnoticed.
For your Sunday, enjoy this routine and boost your intuitive self
